⚠️ Note on Natural Variation, Algae & Growing Conditions
Each Alocasia 'Polly' is slightly different, but all are matched for size, health, and visual consistency. Minor variation in leaf curvature or vein thickness is expected and part of the plant's natural charm.

We ship in a Fluval and perlite mix, ideal for root health and air exchange during shipping and early acclimation. Some harmless algae may be visible in the substrate due to high humidity and light - this is entirely normal and not harmful.

🌡️ These plants have been grown in 70-75°F temperatures and 70-75% humidity, and should be slowly acclimated to regular household conditions over 5-7 days to avoid stress or leaf drop.

🛠️ Care Instructions
Light:
Bright, indirect light is ideal. Too little light can fade leaf color; too much direct sun may cause burning.

Water:
If kept in the Fluval/perlite mix, place the plant in a self-watering pot or set above a nutrient-enriched water reservoir for consistent moisture through bottom wicking. Avoid letting the mix fully dry out.

Humidity:
Prefers 60%+ humidity. Gradually reduce to room humidity over several days if needed. A humidifier or pebble tray helps maintain optimal conditions.

Temperature:
Keep between 65-80°F. Avoid cold drafts or temperatures below 60°F.

Soil (if repotting):
Transition into a chunky, well-draining mix (e.g., coco coir, bark, and perlite) if repotting from the current medium.

Fertilizer:
Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer at ¼-½ strength once a month during active growth.

Dormancy Note:
Alocasia 'Polly' may go semi-dormant in winter or in response to environmental stress. If this happens, reduce watering and wait for new growth to resume before fertilizing.
