Philodendron Micans ‘Pink Ferrari’
🌿 Philodendron Micans ‘Pink Ferrari’
(Variegated Velvet Micans – Blush Sport Form)
The Philodendron Micans ‘Pink Ferrari’ is one of the most coveted sport-variegated Micans cultivars on the market. This rare form features the same soft, velvety leaves as classic Micans, but with blush pink, mint, cream, and lime variegation streaked across its bronze-green foliage. Some leaves produce bold sectoral splashes, while others show delicate marbling—each one is unique. This is a must-have collector plant for fans of rare Philodendrons and velvet variegation.
🪴 You will receive a plant similar in size, color, and variegation pattern to the one shown in the photo. All plants are hand-selected for healthy roots and strong, stable variegation.
⚠️ Note on Natural Variation, Algae & Growing Conditions
Variegation patterns vary from leaf to leaf, ranging from soft pink and mint swirls to bold sectoral splits. No two plants are identical, but all are carefully selected to match the size and quality of the listing photo.
Plants are shipped in a Fluval and perlite mix, which promotes healthy root growth and gentle moisture control. Algae may be present on the surface—this is a harmless byproduct of high humidity and does not affect plant health.
🌡️ Grown at 70–75°F temperatures and 70–75% humidity, these plants need to be slowly acclimated to household humidity and temperature over 5–7 days to avoid shock.
🛠️ Care Instructions
Light:
Bright, indirect light is required to maintain vibrant variegation. Too little light can cause reversion; too much direct sun can damage the delicate velvet texture.
Water:
If kept in Fluval/perlite, use a self-watering container or place the plant above a shallow nutrient-enriched water reservoir for consistent bottom wicking. Keep evenly moist but never soggy.
Humidity:
Prefers 60–75% humidity to maintain leaf health and variegation vibrancy. Acclimate slowly to lower humidity environments.
Temperature:
Best kept at 70–80°F. Avoid drafts or temperature drops below 60°F.
Soil (if repotting):
Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix (coco coir, perlite, bark) when transitioning out of Fluval/perlite.
Fertilizer:
Feed monthly during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer at ¼–½ strength. Avoid overfeeding to prevent variegation stress.
Growth Habit:
This is a vining Philodendron—let it trail from a hanging pot or climb a moss pole for larger, mature leaves and more vibrant variegation displays.
