Alocasia Pink Black Velvet Variegated | Rare Collector Plant
šæ Alocasia āPink Black Velvetā ā Variegated

This plant combines the classic soft velvet texture of Alocasia Black Velvet with the unpredictability of sport variegationāno two plants are alike, making each one a true collectible.
šŖ“ You will receive a plant similar in size and variegation pattern to the one shown in the photo. Each plant is hand-selected for vivid color contrast, healthy roots, and well-formed leaves.
ā ļø Note on Natural Variation, Algae & Growing Conditions
Variegation varies from leaf to leaf, ranging from soft marbling to sectoral pink and mint patterns. Each plant is unique but carefully chosen for quality and health.
Plants are shipped in a Fluval and perlite mix to encourage strong root development and acclimation success. Algae may be present in the substrateāthis is a normal result of high humidity and poses no risk to the plant.
š”ļø All plants are grown in 70ā75°F temperatures and 70ā75% humidity. They must be slowly acclimated to household environments over 5ā7 days to prevent stress or leaf loss.
š ļø Care Instructions
Light:
Bright, indirect light is essential to maintain color contrast. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water:
Keep in a self-watering container or above a shallow nutrient-enriched water reservoir when using the Fluval/perlite mix. Bottom wicking maintains even moisture without overwatering. Do not let the substrate dry out fully.
Humidity:
Prefers 60ā75% humidity. Acclimate slowly if transitioning to normal household air.
Temperature:
Best at 70ā80°F. Avoid cold drafts or temperature drops below 60°F.
Soil (if repotting):
When repotting, use a well-draining aroid mix with coco coir, bark, and perlite to maintain proper aeration.
Fertilizer:
Use a balanced liquid fertilizer at ¼ā½ strength every 4ā6 weeks during the growing season. Avoid overfeeding to prevent stress on variegated tissue.
Dormancy Note:
Growth may slow or pause in cooler months. Reduce watering and stop fertilizing until new growth appears.
